Challenge.
Red Hen is a pre-launch two-sided marketplace: shoppers need farms to choose from, and farms need a real shopper base before they'll commit. There's no playbook for cold-starting a hyper-local farm marketplace on both iOS and Android at once — every decision (geography, onboarding, pricing, app store positioning) compounds. The work isn't running ads against a finished product; it's building the company so the ads will be honest when they launch.
What I did.
Set strategic direction with the founding team — positioning, target geographies, brand voice, and sequencing of bets.
Designed the launch plan: ASO foundations, dual-sided onboarding flow, geo-rollout logic tied to farm density.
Contributed to product development — feature prioritization, marketplace mechanics, shopper and farm UX feedback loops.
Implemented internal systems and operating cadences so a lean founding team can ship without losing the thread.
