Engagement Snapshot

Focus areas.

01

Founder-Level Strategy.

Company direction, brand, and operating priorities set alongside the founding team.

02

Launch Strategy.

End-to-end go-to-market plan for a two-sided marketplace across iOS and Android.

03

Product & Systems.

Product development input plus the internal systems that let a small team operate like a bigger one.

The Brief

Challenge.

Red Hen is a pre-launch two-sided marketplace: shoppers need farms to choose from, and farms need a real shopper base before they'll commit. There's no playbook for cold-starting a hyper-local farm marketplace on both iOS and Android at once — every decision (geography, onboarding, pricing, app store positioning) compounds. The work isn't running ads against a finished product; it's building the company so the ads will be honest when they launch.

The Operating Plan

What I did.

01

Set strategic direction with the founding team — positioning, target geographies, brand voice, and sequencing of bets.

02

Designed the launch plan: ASO foundations, dual-sided onboarding flow, geo-rollout logic tied to farm density.

03

Contributed to product development — feature prioritization, marketplace mechanics, shopper and farm UX feedback loops.

04

Implemented internal systems and operating cadences so a lean founding team can ship without losing the thread.
